NEW NEWS:

The holiday season is here, which is usually a bit of a lull for me.  I think of it as my own personal winter break.  And I do have a bit of a lean schedule, which is fine.  I've got some housework to get to, some sleep to catch up on, and I've been able to get to some recording.  Check out the band highlights below for specific updates.  Coffee Fest is coming up on January 4th as well as some Zydeco on January 18th at Riley's Tavern in Hunter, Texas. 

And my favorite gig in Texas comes up on Dec 15th at the Guadalupe Cultural Center - it's Holiday Saxophones!  I'm thrilled to be a part of this annual celebration of San Antonio Saxophones. Great players, great times, great jams.  This really is a very special event, can't wait for it!

Last month's recap:  November was a wild one this year...  Plenty of cold, rain, and a ton of work.  Got back into the swing of things with a pile of gigs for my Solo Sax Sessions and couple jazz gigs.  Production work was good with an event for the city and two events for Luminaria.  Had some planning meetings for the Texas Festivals and Events Association and even went up to Austin for a "red-carpet jam with a DJ" gig.  I actually had an entire weekend off and began my sleep catch-up vacation and wrapped things up with a fun day of hanging out with the Ford Holiday Rio Parade VIPs including Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Steve Earle, Patricia Vonne, Van Wilks, Jimmy Spacek, Jimmy Vaughn, Randy Brooks, and other Texas notables.

Noah Peterson:  Solo Sax Sessions - third Friday at Sanchos: 7 to 9pm.  Jazz gigs are happening, although they are private. Airport residency is now 2 Mondays a month.  BRAND NEW RELEASE  Keep It Cool is here.  I'm right in the middle of putting out a regular schedule of singles to be released on Mondays starting Dec 9th - these are all brand new jams from my "Airport Sessions." O.M.N.I.: Zach is back from his month-long adventure across the U.S. and he's getting the tracks knocked out left and right.  They sound GREAT!  Can't wait for the next installment of O.M.N.I. to be finished. Facebook   Spotify

River Barons: The Barons had a nice online campaign last month which included several articles and some playlist inclusion. Not surprisingly, that did give them a boost in the rankings for the Top Ten.  Facebook  Spotify

Widespread Noise: "My Heart Is the Ocean" is a brand new release on Spotify.  This is an epic one-hour long ocean drum performance.  It's great for yoga, meditation, sleep, relaxation, or just background noise. It's soothing, ambient, sounds of the ocean.  It's even got a video if you need to just veg out:  My Heart Is the Ocean on Youtube.  In other news, Matt Wolff has joined the project and we've been recording for the past couple of weeks.  Look for new tracks and sonic experiences soon.   Facebook  Spotify
