Yowza!
Now that was the kind of weekend I prefer. 6 gigs in 3 days, driving all over Central Texas. That was pretty awesome. Did a little assisted living facility, played at The Cove in San Antonio with West Kings Highway and tore it up! Played a farmers market the next morning and got gusted out by wind, hauled my gear down to Lulling Texas for the Rajin' Cajun Cookout and got down with Jean-Pierre and the Zydeco Angels then headed back to San Antonio for the "I Love My Brain" SMARTSA fundraising concert. Music from 6pm to midnight. I looped, jammed out with my buddy Tony Rogers (cellist from Austin) and FreshFX (Columbus, OH) got down after us. I M.C.'d the night, got some cash for the kiddies in the arts program at Briscoe Academy and called it a night. Sunday was the Lone Star Grille in Leander with Jean-Pierre and the Zydeco Angels.
A bunch of my new Texas friends came out to the shows, saw some great bands, played a lot of music, made a little money. Came home exhausted to my lovely wife. That's what I'm talking about. GREAT weekend.
