NEW NEWS:
West Kings Highway is no more. After 20 years, Johnny Carrera is calling it a day. It's been a great run, the last version of the band was by far the best. Our final performance is May 10th at Sanchos Cantina y Cocina 7 to 9pm. Bring your friends and family for our goodbye show. We will be releasing a post mortem live recording.
My Solo Sax Sessions had landed a new residency: The 3rd Friday of the month at Sanchos Cantina from 7 to 9pm. Next one is May 17th! Expect a completely different show that what you're used to. I'll be exploring my existing tech and I'm looking at adding more.
And now that Fiesta is over, I'm getting back into the swing of things. Literally. After a long hiatus I'm getting back into the jazz business. Expect to see iterations of the "Noah Peterson (insert combo size)" popping up at your local jazz joints.
GrooveTronX has a new digital release out! GrooveTronX at the San Antonio Coffee Festival. This 6 song, 58 minute release was recorded live on January 5th at La Villita for the San Antonio Coffee Fest. We were the opening band and provided a background of funky perfection as thousands sipped a variety of morning brews on a very pleasant January morning.

Last month's recap: April is over... and what a month it was. A full month of Mondays at the airport with some crazy sax loops and a Zydeco gig started things off. I was a late addition as a panelist for Music Biz Day as part of UTSA's annual event. My session was about being a professional musician. Multi-grammy winner Henry Brun introduced me with something along the lines of "This next guy is a little more gritty." Good times were had. West Kings Highway had a very busy month. And then made the decision to break-up. Taco Fest was an epic weekend of work and fun and a hug success. Met up with some Marine buddies, got on TV a ton, played Fiesta gigs, attended some Fiesta events, and put on the King William Fair. All in all, pretty awesome month.
What's on deck? Not much, got some shows, got some tech to wok on, got lots of recordings to do and preparations to make.
