My self imposed vacation is officially over.  It was a necessary thing.  I finally feel like my old self.   Got some attitude, got some desire, ready to work.

It took longer than expected.  This aging thing sucks.  Oh well.... nothing to be done about it.

After a couple weeks of "slowing down" I ended my time with a trip to Pittsburgh for a return appearance at Phillter Fest.  4 days of music, communal living, and lots of convo with other artists.    The line-up was tight. I got see and hang with Kalimbaman, saw some old friends, made some new ones, and had my musical world rocked with the crushing awesomeness of Napom.    I came back very tired from staying up late and getting up early and my sets were crisp, clean, and full of delicious sax licks.

I jumped straight back into work with my usual Monday schedule.  Bucho was happy to have daddy home and is purring on my lap as I write.   I continue with my office reorganization.  I've replaced my ancient printer and continue to try and get rid of thing I don't need in my tiny space.  I spent some time on my EWI and borrowed synth, cleaned out a bunch of emails, and had a meeting with the city clerk about my upcoming performance for the inauguration of the Mayor next week.  Now if I could only sell this 18 inch sub....

I need a weekly residency.  I've been wanting one for a bit, but haven't really done too much to chase it down.  Although I'm really looking into it more.  I'd like to return to J&O's, but I haven't popped in there for a while and don't believe they are even open on the day I want to do it.

I've got a fair amount of house stuff to do, but the weather is keeping me inside.  Between the rain and the bugs, I can't really get to it.  Although I'm getting to the little things as best I can. Speaking of little things, I'm really unhappy with my power solutions for my various rigs.  And, while I greatly enjoyed my festival time, I'm so done with traveling that I can actually get a pedal board for a permanent solution and better storage, set-up, and presentation.   Good times.  Should probably get back to it...
