NEW NEWS:

And so begins a new year - 2018. I must confess I'm a little sad to see 2017 go.  It was an epic year.  Here's hoping for an even better 2018!  It's certainly off to a big start.  LOTS of new videos up for your enjoyment!  There are over 1,000 videos on my Youtube channel. There is some crazy, awesome, entertaining stuff on there - click it and get lost for days!

DJ Law: Dr. Wax & Sax has a new video out - Coming in Hot.  Enjoy electro-sax and DJ Law scratching for a fully improvised live jam.

GrooveTronXwww.groovetronx.com You can stream our new LIVE release "Electric Aesthetic" on Spotify.   A new LIVE video here and a new video for Spanish Eyes from Bright Lights Big City. I heard a great description of our group at Tacoland over the weekend - smooth jazz with a dance beat.

Noah Peterson: Unscheduled StreetJelly concerts are about to be resumed.  No point in announcing them - they're secret, special, and unrehearsed.  Gotta follow the FB page for notices.  Jazz gigs - every Third Thursday - The Noah Peterson Quartet is resurrected at Frank, 1150 S. Alamo, 10pm start.  Come see me at the Coffee Festival on Satuday - 11:15am for some electric-solo sax wizardy. I've got three new videos up -Two Ports Down and Road Song from Sax-a-Loop-a-Liscious, and The Vastness of Space from Ambient Space Sounds.  The Vastness of Space is a great track - I hope you'll check it out. The entire Ambient Space Sounds turned out to be a rare and unplanned gem in the catalog.  Sax-a-Loop-a-Liscious is probably my least promoted effort ever and it's a great little feature for many of my original songs.

West Kings Highway: We've got our first Fiesta Medal in and for sale! There is a limted number for sale - we've already made quite a dent in our inventory. sold a Shows on Friday nights - First Friday at Southtown 101, other Fridays at Sanchos. www.westkingshighway.com.

The Other Guys:  In other Peterson Entertainment, Llc related news:

Cosmic Dust has their third and final album available "The Dust Also Rises" at CDBaby or streaming on Spotify - a new video is up for In the Distance. Great jazz fusion from the Pacific Northwest.

A new video for Irie Impressions: Skyjuice - reggae from Alton Thomas.

Three new videos from Widespread Noise: Funk WarpThe Darkness Rises, and Grinding the Gears of Time.  Noise, Noise, and more Noise.

And the first video for Tip the Band "Bark" featuring the late, great James Miller on Vocals and bass. You've got me on washboard and backing vocals, and folk legend Dick Weissman on guitar for a down-home and kinda dark Americana/Folk-Blues track.  Beer Drinkin' Songs on Spotify - a fun bunch of songs.

A new video for The Reverend Evan Hadley for the sexy romantic pop tune - The Last Thing On My Mind.  I'm on sax blowing a sexy, Sade-styled, pseudo-solo under the smooth crooning of Evan.

A new Burlesqeue featurette video for La Chichada's "Jo Jo Dancer." Probably don't want to let the kids watch this video.  I don't really like to go this riske, but it is La Chichada and it does fit the band quite well.

A new video from Richard Thurman "Christmas Groove." This is a R&B/bluesy jam with a little sax from yours truely. This is off the brand new Holiday compilation from a lot of my new Texas friends called Christmas for Everyone.

Going deep in the vault from: a new video for SCDG - Mind all Mine, Luna -Flower Heart.

And wrapping up the last batch of new videos a handful from Royal Punisher and their debut release Bullets for Breakfast. Royal Punisher is a jazzish-band from San Antonio: The Last WordBloodMejitas Diaspora,Fugue StateBullets for Breakfast

FUN FACTS:

Top streamed tracks on Spotify according to CDBaby for the month: And the River Barons claim all 5 spots again although the order did change.

This month's most watched Youtube videos. Subscribers keep signing on and the race for number one keeps changing leaders - here's your winners for the month!

  1. Boomerang Factory Tour - although this is actually not the factory anymore - I find it bizarre that people keep watching this video.
  2. Widespread Noise - The Darkness Rises - this is a pretty good video. I like how well it suits the music and mood.
  3. GrooveTronX - Muted Groove - This pops back into the charts, it is a strong performance.
  4. Cellotronick from the 2013 NW LoopFest - this is a pretty compelling performance.
  5. La Chichada's "Jo Jo Dancer" grabs the 5th spot - not too bad for a video that went up a week ago.
