Wow.... it's been so long.

I don't even know what to say. 

I wanted to say how awesome the acts were tonight at my weekly J&O's residency in San Antonio.  I missed my two year anniversary, back in May and forgot to tell Dave.  No biggie, I'll hit him next week.  But This Is Where Two Oceans Meet and Tidalwave Tadpole were GREAT!   I really love TIWTOM, dude has music that just hits me in all the right spots.  The new guy was great as well.  No loops, just him strumming the crap out of that guitar mexican/flamenco with eddie vettar styled vocals over the top.  Really impressed me.  And I rocked it pretty hard myself.    Solid night of music.

I love this town I live in.  This crazy city.  So beautiful, so missing it, so on it, so everything...  Everything is better in Texas. 

I'm so busy all day... I'm keeping up, but the amount of work to get a recorded product really into the pipeline is significant.  It takes weeks, and the tedium of of doing it....oy!   It's a chore.

All the bands are doing well, Zydeco season went long this year. And we made some interesting new roads.  La Chichada is kicking ass.  Lots of work lately, although the summer is bare.  West Kings Highway is making strides but we can't seem to really take off and fly.  Too many variables,  it's all getting better though.  So strange to have so many options.  The LoopFests keeping leveraging themselves to higher ground; we're so close to breaking.  But it's such a crazy thing, but it's a complete niche that is a hard target.  Even one of my guys tonight was saying "I just can't stop buying gear."  I just laughed and laughed.

I want to talk about my house, my yard, my marriage, my music, everything, but there's so much to do all the time, there is precious few moments to do even this.  It's pretty awesome though.  I love my life, my home, my wife, my family, my communities.  Can't imagine what things would be like if I had kids.  Wouldn't be doing this though.   Which makes me glad I am doing this.  Somebody needs to be doing this. 

And I'm glad you are paying attention to it.  If it wasn't for you, this would all be meaningless.
